This book is about Joe, a young boy who grew up in Sierra Leone. He had goals and dreams and in order to achieve them he had to come to America. Even though his family and friends said that America would not accept him because he was different, he came, studied, did well and became Dr. Joe. This powerful book talks about accepting and being inclusive.
Note: Joe is the author’s father.
